Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Prostate Cancer
• Age: Between 18 years - 100 years
• Gender: Male

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  1) Patients who have biopsy confirmed adenocarcinoma of the prostate. 2) Patients who have had radical prostatectomy.
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• 1) Patients who have metastatic disease and have been treated for prostate cancer with the following: chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, oral glucocorticoids, and GnRH analogues. 2) Patients who have current or previous use of the following: use of 5a-reductase inhibitors, drugs with antiandrogenic properties, diagnosis of type 1 diabetes mellitus, exposure to metformin within 12 months of screening, and planned or concurrent use of any oral or injectable diabetes drug.
