Phase I/II study of dabrafenib trametinib and navitoclax in BRAF mutant melanoma (Phase I and II) and other solid tumors (Phase I only).

Brief description of study

The purpose of the study is to determine the side effects and best dose of dabrafenib, trametinib, and navitoclax and to see how well they work in treating patients with BRAF mutant melanoma or solid tumors that have spread to other parts of the body (metastatic) or cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable). Dabrafenib, trametinib, and navitoclax may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. The study drugs dabrafenib, trametinib, and navitoclax are investigational, which means that they have not been approved by the U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the health authority that gives approval for new medicines to be prescribed in the United States, but the FDA has given its permission to test these agents in the current trial.
