A PHASE II SINGLE-ARM STUDY OF TOTAL BODY IRRADIATION WITH LINAC BASED VOLUMETRIC MODULATED ARC THERAPY (VMAT) AND IMAGE GUIDED RADIATION THERAPY (IGRT)
Brief description of study
The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and efficacy of delivering total body irradiation (TBI) with linac based VMAT technique for patients with hematologic malignancies requiring full-dose TBI as part of their conditioning regimen prior to allogeneic stem cell transplant. VMAT-based TBI can reduce the lung dose and improve the process of treatment in helping patients recover from therapy.
