PNOC029: Nivolumab and DAY101 for the treatment of newly diagnosed or recurrent craniopharyngioma in children and young adults

Brief description of study

This study is designed for patients who have craniopharyngioma (a rare brain tumor). The usual treatment for craniopharyngioma involves surgery and radiation, which helps reduce the tumor and its return. However, these treatments can cause problems like trouble seeing, hormone issues, and other health challenges. When the tumor comes back, it's hard to treat. We need better ways to help battle craniopharyngioma without tough surgeries and lots of radiation. New research shows that certain pathways in the tumor could be targets for treatment. We want to test a combination of two drugs, nivolumab (FDA approved) and DAY101 (treats brain tumors in kids called 'pediatric low-grade gliomas'), to see if they can help kids and teens with craniopharyngioma. This study will check if the treatment is safe and works well.
