A Randomized Phase III Study of Sublobar Resection (SR) versus Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy (SAbR) in High Risk Patients with Stage I Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Age: Between 18 years - 99 years

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Patient must have radiographic findings consistent with non-small cell lung cancer, including lesion with ground glass opacities with a solid component of 50% or greater.
2. Patient must have a tumor = 4cm maximum diameter, including clinical stage IA and selected IB by PET/CT scan of the chest and upper abdomen
3. Patient must have tumor located peripherally within the lung, and verified by a thoracic surgeon to be in a location that will permit a sublobar resection
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Patients with prior intra-thoracic radiation therapy; previous chemotherapy or surgical resection specifically for the lung cancer being treated
2. Patients with prior lung resection on the same side
