Functional muscle kinematics in dermatomyositis with diffusion MRI

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to determine if a combination of advanced MRI techniques can be helpful in the prediction, early diagnosis, and prognosis of dermatomyositis (a disease characterized by muscle degradation and weakness in certain muscle compartments). It is hoped these imaging techniques will aid physicians in determining the best treatment course for patients with this disease.
