Effect of community chorus participation on the voice of older adults

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of participation in a choral program designed specifically for adults over the age of 55 on vocal ability (both speaking and singing) and communication-related quality of life. Participants will be singers in the Encore Chorale, a program run by Encore Creativity for Older Adults, and age-matched controls who are not singers.
