The natural history of partial ligamentous tears in the wrist: a single-center observational study

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Tfcc TearScapholunate Ligament Partial Tear

Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 50 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Subjects who are between the ages of 18-50
- Subjects with acute onset radial and/or ulnar-sided wrist pain with suspicion for SLL and/or TFCC tear, confirmed by initial MRI within the first 4 weeks after injury
- Subjects for whom non-operative treatment is appropriated
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Subjects with chronic radial and/or ulnar sided wrist pain suggestive of an ongoing pathology rather than an acute injury
- Subjects uwith any concurrent pathology in the ipsilateral wrist or carpus, including fracture, arthritis, dislocation, etc
- Subjects who has prior surgery on the affected wrist
- Gross instability on exam or clinical findings that mandate early operative intervention, such as complete SLL tear, reparable TFCC avulsion, scapholunate angle <30 or >70 on plain XB
- Subjects who are unwilling to follow up and complete the research MRI at 12 months
