Leveraging Biomarkers for Personalized Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder Comorbid With PTSD

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Alcohol Use Disorder
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 100 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. You have a desire to cut down or stop drinking
2. You had at least 6 heavy drinking days in the 30 days prior to screen
3. You are experiencing current symptoms of stress due to a past traumatic event
4. You are willing to use contraception for duration of the trial

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. You are currently experiencing alcohol withdrawal.
2. You have certain psychiatric or medical diagnoses (to be assessed during screens).
3. You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
4. You have started psychotherapy for PTSD or other psychiatric condition started within the past 3 months
5. You have an allergy or hypersensitivity to topiramate.
