MRI for Monitoring Osteoporosis Therapy Response

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Osteoporosis
Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 100 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Female subjects who are older than 50 years old
2. Subjects who are postmenopausal (12 months or more since last menstrual period)
3. Subjects who are 18 years old or older
4. Subjects who are about to start a drug regimen for treatment of osteoporosis
5. Subjects who are not on an osteoporosis drug
6. Subjects who must be due for a DXA scan

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Subjects who have the inability to lie still for one hour
2. Subjects with severe claustrophobia
3. Subjects with cancer with skeletal metastasis
4. Subjects with avascular necrosis
5. Subjects who have severe hip arthritis
6. Subjects who have life expectancy under 2 years
7. Subjects with limited autonomy or in subordinate positions
8. Subjects who are pregnant
