Computer Aided Detection Tandem Colonoscopy Study

Brief description of study

The main purpose of this study is to examine the role of an automatic polyp detection software during colonoscopy. The software is a form of machine learning technology. Machine learning is science in which a computer uses learned patterns to automatically predict and identify certain scenarios.Colonoscopy with the removal of adenomas is an effective cancer screening and prevention strategy. However, sometimes doctors miss these polyps during colonoscopy. The development of machine to automatically detect adenomas may help doctors to detect polyps and adenomas in the future. The research software used in this study was programmed by a company in Shanghai called Wision AI, which manufactures artificial intelligence for computer aided diagnostics.
