Methotrexate and Cholesterol Transport Regulation: Impact of Treatment Regimen in Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome Cardiovascular Inflammation

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Diabetes And Metabolic Syndrome
  • Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 80 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    1. Subjects documented post-myocardial infarction (MI)
    2. Subjects with history of type 2 diabetes or metabolic syndrome
    3. Subjects willing to participate as evidence by signing the study informed consent

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. Subjects with prior history of chronic infectious disease, including tuberculosis, severe fungal disease, or known HIV positive
    2. Subjects with chronic hepatitis B or C infection
    3. Subjects with interstitial pneumonitis, bronchiectasis, or pulmonary fibrosis
    4. Prior history of non basal cell malignancy or myeloproliferative or lymphoproliferative disease
    5. Subjects who have history of alcohol abuse
    6. Women of child bearing potential, even if currently using contraception, and women intending to breastfeed
    7. Men who plan to father children during the study period or who are unwilling to use contraception
    8. Subjects with current indication for methotrexate therapy
    9. Subjects with chronic use of oral steroid therapy or other immunosuppressive or biologic response modifiers
    10. Subjects with known chronic pericardial effusion, pleural effusion, or ascites
    11. New York Heart Association class IV congestive heart failure
    12. Life expectancy of <3 years
