Blood Flow Restriction Therapy for Achilles Injury

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of performing physical therapy with a blood pressure cuff around your leg. Patients who have underwent Achilles injury, either partial or complete tears will be studied. The aim of the study is to see if using the blood pressure cuff during standard of care physical therapy (PT) will help the healing process and get stronger at a faster rate. The use of a blood pressure cuff is not standard therapy for people with this condition. This part of the therapy is therefore considered experimental.
