AtRial Cardiopathy and Antithrombotic Drugs In prevention After cryptogenic stroke

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Stroke

Age: Between 45 years - 110 years

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Subjects have clinical diagnosis of ischemic stroke + brain imaging to rule out hemorrhagic stroke
- Subjects who have a Modified Rankin Scale (MRS) score less than or equal to 4.
- Subjects who are able to be randomized no later than 120 days after stroke onset
- Subjects with Embolic stroke of undetermined source (ESUS) li>
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Subjects with history of AF, AF on 12-lead ECG, or any AF of any duration during heart-rhythm monitoring
- Subjects who has clear indication for treatment-dose anticoagulant therapy
- Subjects with history of spontaneous intracranial hemorrhage.
- Subjects with chronic kidney disease
- Subjects with active hepatitis or hepatic insufficiency
- Subjects who have clinically significant bleeding diathesis.
- Subjects who have chronic anemia or thrombocytopenia
- Subjects who have clinically significant GI bleeding
- Subjects who are pregnant, lactating or sexually active without adequate birth control
- Subjects with known allergy or intolerance to aspirin or apixaban
- Considered to have a condition that precludes follow-up or safe participation
