Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Significant Organizational Skills Impairment
• Age: Between 8 years - 11 years
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  1. Subjects in grades 3-5 of elementary school having one main teacher corresponding to ages between 8 and 12 years-of-age
  2. Subjects may be designated as obtaining special education assistance as indicated on an Individualized Education Program (IEP), provided a review of the current IEP by the research team under the supervision of the PI indicates that the child has a broadly average reading level and language development.
  3. Estimated full scale IQ = 85 and language comprehension standard scores = 8 is required as in past studies to assure that children are able to comply with specific skills training and to minimize neurobiological heterogeneity
  4. Organizational skills deficits defined as elevated (= 1SD) pre-treatment COSS Parent Total T-score and at least one COSS Parent Interference item rated as either a 3 or 4
  5. Must provide adequate MRI data at baseline

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• 1. Subjects enrolled in a self-contained special education classroom or served by a 1:1 paraprofessional in their classroom
  2. Subjects with Full scale IQ < 85.
  3. Subjects with history (and medical records if needed) medical illness requiring chronic current treatment
  4. Subjects with history of intrathecal chemotherapy or focal cranial irradiation
  5. Subjects who were of premature birth
  6. Subjects with history of leukomalacia or static encephalopathy, intracerebral hemorrhage beyond grade 2, other specific or focal neurological or metabolic disorder including epilepsy, or traumatic brain injury
  7. Subjects who have contraindication for MRI scanning
