Locus-coeruleus function in normal elderly and AD risk (LEAD)

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Alzheimer’s Disease
Age: Between 60 Year(s) - 75 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Participants with normal cognition and 55-75 years of age will be enrolled.
2. Participants who will be within normal limits on neurological and psychiatric examinations.
3. Participants will have a CDR of 0. This will be evaluated through a clinical interview administered by a study physician
4. Those who will have had a minimum of 12 years of education

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Pregnant or breastfeeding
2. Any prosthetic devices (e.g., pacemaker or surgical clips) that constitutes a hazard for imaging.
3. Participants who have an excess of radiation exposure from the past year
4. Claustrophobia
5. Significant history of alcoholism or drug abuse.
6. Past or current medical condition that would interfere with the study procedures
