A Pilot Study Examining Conscious Awareness and Cognitive Experiences During Deep Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Awareness During Circulatory Arrest
    Circulatory Arrest
  • Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 100 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    DHCA participants
    1. Adult participants who are age 18 or older
    2. Participants who are undergoing Deep Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest (DHCA)
    Control participants
    1. Adult patients, age 18 or older
    2. Participants undergoing a first time cardio pulmonary bypass procedure.

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

  • DHCA participants
    1. Adult participants who are age 18 or older
    2. Participants who are undergoing Deep Hypothermic Circulatory Arrest (DHCA)
    Control participants
    1. Adult patients, age 18 or older
    2. Participants undergoing a first time cardio pulmonary bypass procedure.
