Unpacking the Importance of the Structural Injuries of MTBI

Brief description of study

The purpose of this research study is to investigate new ways of measuring mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI) by studying patients at specific time intervals (2 weeks, 2 months, and 6 months post-injury). These time points are chosen because of the injury’s recovery and specific biological processes happening that may persist even when all symptoms disappear. We hope to learn if new MRI scanning techniques meant to find distinct imaging findings to help us to better evaluate MTBI.
