You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Early Stage Probable Alzheimer's Disease
• Age: Between 65 Year(s) - 120 Year(s)
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  For normal aging subjects

  1. Age of =25 years.
  2. Have regular wake-sleep cycle.
  3. Able to undergo MRI
  4. willing to provide informed consent

  For sleep study subjects

  1. Age of =25 years
  2. Have regular wake-sleep cycle
  3. Able to undergo MRI
  4. Willing to provide informed consent
  5. Having sleep experience in MRI or in sleep lab
  6. Willing to have EEG in the MRI scanner

  For AD patients

  1. Age of 65-120 years
  2. Able to undergo MRI
  3. Willing to provide informed consent
  4. Clinically diagnosed probable AD at early stage

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• For normal aging subjects

  1. Any known neurological disorders/symptoms
  2. Within 8 hours after coffee, stimulating tea, alcohol, or drug (excluding medications)
  3. Pregnant women

  For sleep study subjects

  1. Any known neurological disorders/symptoms
  2. Within 8 hours after coffee, stimulating tea, alcohol, or drug (excluding medications)
  3. Pregnant women
  4. Any known sleep disorders
  5. Can’t sleep in MRI or with EEG

  For AD patients

  1. Any known neurological disorders except AD
  2. Within 8 hours after coffee, tea, alcohol, or drug (except medications for AD)
