Trabecular Structure on Wrist MRI in Early Osteoporosis

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Osteoporosis

Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 100 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
For population A (high risk for fragility fracture):- Individuals older than 55 years of age who have sustained a traumatic fracture after a fall from standing height or less
- Willing and able to provide consent
- Adults patients ages 18 to 100 years old presenting to the hand clinic without a known history of osteoporosis or fragility fracture
- Willing and able to provide consent
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Patients with osteoporosis as a secondary condition such as secondary to chronic steroid treatment, metabolic bone disease, or nutritional problem
- Patients without proper documentation and follow up
- Patients not agreeable to having a screening MRI or DXA testing
- Patients not able to undergo MRI scanning (claustrophobia, pacemaker, etc.)
