Point-of-Care Ultrasound Curriculum for Internal Medicine Residents

Brief description of study

The goal of this study is to improve the understanding of basic ultrasound concepts for internal medicine residents so they may become more familiar with the impact of ultrasound technology on patients. The curriculum consists of a power point based lecture and then hands on learning with simulated patients using ultrasound. They will be given a survey to assess their comfortability with ultrasound use, along with a pre-course quiz to asses their baseline knowledge of ultrasound images. They will then take the same quiz after the course to assess for improvement. At 3 and 6 months following the course, they will repeat the survey.
