Tracking Sexual Dysfunction Over Time in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to track sexual dysfunction over time in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. Using validated IBD-specific scales, the researchers hope to examine the persistence and change of sexual dysfunction over time in patients with IBD and correlate sexual dysfunction with disease activity as well as treatment of disease , as well as psychosocial aspects of illness such as depression, anxiety, and the way people perceive their illness.
