DEAD SPACE MEASUREMENT IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE RESPIRATORY DISTRESS SYNDROME DUE TO COVID-19 INFECTION

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Covid-19
Age: Between 18 - 100 Years
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Admitted to NYU Langone Medical Center
2. Diagnosed with ARDS according to the Berlin definition
3. Be diagnosed with COVID-19 by nucleic acid amplification testing
4. Undergoing invasive mechanical ventilation and continuous monitoring with an indwelling arterial catheter

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Known pre-existing obstructive airways disease, pulmonary vascular disease, or lung parenchymal disease (for example, sarcoidosis, pulmonary fibrosis)
