Prospective MRI Evaluation of Control Subjects for Comparison to Patients with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Healthy Control
Age: Between 21 years - 65 years
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:

Healthy controls: age matched volunteers recruited from the local population and briefly screened for previously unrecognized signs or symptoms of seizure. Controls will be screened by survey for symptoms of shaking or convulsions, brief episodes of loss of consciousness or staring spells, and family history of epilepsy.

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

Age less than 18 years and not meeting above inclusion criteria. Subjects that do not meet safety requirements for 3-T MRI (i.e. pacemakers, metal hardware).
