A Single-Center Observational Study to Develop EEG Biomarkers of Transition from Acute to Chronic Pain
Brief description of study
The purpose of this research study is to examine electroencephalogram or EEG (which measures brain activity) in subjects with acute low back pain to develop a biomarker to identify those at risk of developing chronic low back pain. Biomarkers are measurable indicators of changes in the body (for example: pain, disease progression, treatment response). EEG in subjects without any pain are compared to those with acute and chronic low back pain.
