Transbronchial Biopsy Assisted by Robot Guidance in the Evaluation of Tumors of the Lung (TARGET trial)

Brief description of study

The Monarch Robotic Endoscopy research study uses a platform medical device that gives your doctor the ability to control a bronchoscope using a remote control. A bronchoscope is a device that allows your doctor to see inside your lungs and to obtain a tissue sample. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the performance of the robotic platform during bronchoscopy procedures. A similar device has been successfully used in patients in the United States and outside of the United States. This device is cleared to be used by the United States Food and Drug Administration (510K#: 173760 and 193534). This system is currently being used commercially.
