Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Osteoarthritis
• Age: Between 40 Year(s) - 75 Year(s)
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  1. Have frequent knee pain on most days of the month for the last one year
  2. Have tibia-femoral disease with a K-L grade of 1-2 in the index knee and K-L score less than or equal to 1 in the contra-lateral knee
  3. Healthy control cohorts will have no knee pain or radiographic evidence of osteoarthritis (OA)

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• 1. Subjects with any joint disease other than knee Osteoarthritis (OA)
  2. Corticosteroid injections within the previous 3 months
  3. History of avascular necrosis, Paget’s disease of bone, Wilson’s disease, gout, total knee replacement
  4. Pregnancy
  5. Major co-morbidities such as diabetes mellitus, cancer, congestive heart failure and chronic infectious diseases
  6. Prior knee surgery
  7. Trauma
  8. Contraindications to 3T whole body MRI scanners
  9. Alignment interventions such as insoles and knee braces
