Green Activity Pilot (GAP) Study

Brief description of study

The purpose of this research study is to to find out more about your experiences with participating in physical activity and weight management programs in your community. The purpose of these interviews is to get more information from community members in order to create better physical activity and weight management programs in Sunset Park in the future. This study has two parts: The first part is for adults with a history of obesity who live in the Sunset Park area. This part includes one 90-minute in-person interview visit at a local park and one optional 30-minute follow-up visit by phone or video within 3-12 months. The second part is for healthcare providers or community leaders who work with patients with a history of obesity who live in the Sunset Park area. This part includes one 45-minute interview visit virtually and one optional 15-minute follow-up visit by phone or video within 3-12 months. Participants in this study will have the opportunity to contribute to research that benefits their own community.
