Significance and Outcome of Magnetic Resonance Enterography Revealing Sacroiliitis in Crohn s Disease

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Sacroiliitis
    Crohn's Disease
  • Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 100 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    1. Evidence of sacroiliitis on earlier standard of care MRE imaging (Magnetic resonance enterography)
    2. Confirmed diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease
    3. Known HLA-B27 status at time of enrollment (this is confirmed with a blood test. HLA-B27 is a marker associated with autoimmune diseases)

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. History of other inflammatory arthritis (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, gout).
    2. Unable to receive MRI.
    3. History of cancer <5 years in remission, (except for non-melanomatous skin cancer).
    4. Inability to comply with study protocol.
    5. Critically ill patients.
    6. Pregnant patients.
    7. Non-English speaking patients (as the questionnaires used in this study are not validated in other languages)
