Genetic Screening Outcomes in Movement Disorders

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Movement Disorders
Age: Between 0 Year(s) - 100 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Diagnosis of a movement disorder confirmed by an NYU movement disorders neurologist according to standard diagnostic criteria
2. Subjects for which genetic tests for their underlying movement disorder was requested by their provider as per standard of care or who have had genetic testing done as part of the GBA-PD study (s20-00468)
3. Ability to understand the purpose and risks of the study and provide consent
4. Willingness to share results of their genetic testing with investigators of this study.
5. Willingness to provide a blood sample (one tube, no more than 8.5ml) for future research, if not already available from previous studies (NYMD s17-01752 or GBA-PD s20-00468)
6. Willingness to allow researchers to collect leftover material (blood or DNA) from the laboratory performing clinical genetic analysis if blood sample cannot be collected

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Diagnosis of a secondary (non-genetic) movement disorder
