Single-center study of fiber tractography in brain tumor surgery

Brief description of study

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses magnetic fields to create images which provide us with information about the structure and function of different tissues in the body. The purpose of this study is to develop MRI-based medical imaging technology to improve brain visualization for use in neurosurgery of brain tumor surgery patients. The researchers are evaluating a new imagining technique (ODF-Fingerprinting) to determine the value of this new methodology in brain surgery. Healthy participants as well as participants who are diagnosed with a glioma, a glioblastoma, a meningioma or brain metastases and are clinically scheduled for surgical brain tumor removal and a preoperative brain MRI scan are invited to participate.
