In vivo kinematics for subjects after total knee arthroplasty

Brief description of study

Orthopaedic device manufacturers design implants in hopes of making artificial joints more like normal joints and it is anticipated that design changes related to these devices may lead to improved function of the implant. The purpose of this study is to compare the knee movements of patients who have had a knee replacement surgery. Researchers wish to investigate if this knee implant will function similar to non-implanted knees. It is hoped that the knowledge gained by comparing the motions of these implants can be used to develop better artificial joints in the future.
