Optimized MRI of patients with hip arthroplasty
Brief description of study
In patients with hip replacement, the metal of the artificial hip darkens the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images which is called shadowing. The purpose of this study is to develop a method to decrease the shadowing of the artificial hips on MRI. In this study, the researchers will test whether their new technique can reduce the shadowing of the artificial hips and produce high quality images. Subjects enrolled in this study will undergo both standard and new MRI techniques. The standard MRI is needed for your routine care and as ordered by your referring doctor. The new MRI is performed for research purposes.
