A Pilot Proof of Concept Study with Paired-Design on the Effectiveness of Metal Related Artifact Reduction of Hip Arthroplasty Implants or Other Metallic Hardware Using Radiofrequency Pulse Polarization Optimization in 3T MRI

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions:
    Total Hip Arthroplasty
  • Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 99 Year(s)
  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Other Inclusion Criteria:
    1. Participants with a symptomatic (e.g. pain) total hip arthroplasty
    2. Provision of signed and dated informed consent form
    3. No contraindication to MRI: defined as claustrophobia or presence of other MRI-incompatible devices

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

    1. History of revision hip arthroplasty
    2. Pregnancy (self-reported, or self-suspected)
    3. Clinical indication to administer intravenous contrast material during MRI
