Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Vocal Fatigue, Globus
  Dysphonia
• Age: Between 18 years - 65 years
• Gender: Male or Female

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  Study Group

  1. Participants must be full-time vocal performers before and after the pandemic
  2. Participants with voice complaints being treated at the NYU Voice Center
  3. Willing and able to provide consent

  Control Group

  1. Participants must be fully employed vocal performers before and after the pandemic
  2. Participants who have no vocal restraints
  3. Willing and able to provide consent

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• Study Group

  1. Does not meet the inclusion criteria

  Control Group

  1. Known allergy or hypersensitivity to lidocaine
  2. Any type of vocal pathology present during laryngoscopy
