Health Disparities in Chronic Low Back Pain: Addressing with Patient-Clinician Relatedness

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Low Back Pain
Age: Between 18 - 45 Years
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Low back pain lasting at least 3-months
2. You have low back pain for more than half of the days in the past 6-months
3. Reports at least 3 out of 10 average pain over the past week on the numerical pain rating scale
4. Reports having more back pain when compared to leg pain

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. You have a scheduled a low back procedure within the upcoming 8-weeks including an epidural injection or spinal surgery
2. Your low back pain care (i.e. physicians visits, physical therapy) is being received through Worker's Compensation or No Fault insurance
3. You have current dizziness or vestibular problems that cause you to have issues with balance or falling
4. You have had lower or upper extremity surgery within the past year
5. You have had any prior history of spine surgery, spinal fracture, or cancer
6. You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
