Defining the quality of intraoperatively salvaged blood and cost-effectiveness for deformity surgery
Brief description of study
This study aims to evaluate the quality of blood that is collected during spine surgery as compared to blood collected before the surgery which will help to improve future blood transfusion process in patients. Participants will be asked to give 2 samples of blood for the study, one (5 ml or teaspoon) from your arm and one from salvage blood (blood saved from surgery).
