A single-center cross-sectional observational pilot study of organophosphate pesticide exposure and semen quality in young men
Brief description of study
The purpose of this research study is to study whether everyday exposure to organophosphate pesticides, which are commonly used on fruits and vegetables, affects semen quality in healthy men. Participants will answer questionnaires, provide semen and urine samples, and have anthropometric measures taken. Urine and seminal plasma will be assayed for OP pesticide metabolites at NYULH, semen quality will be analyzed at a commercial andrology lab, and seminal oxidative stress will be assayed at NYULH.
