Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:
  Male Subfertility
• Age: Between 22 years - 29 years
• Gender: Male

• Other Inclusion Criteria:
  

  1. Healthy male
  2. English-speaking
  3. Provision of appropriate consent
  4. Willingness and ability to follow study protocol

  
  

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

• 1. Prior diagnosis with any of the following:
     • Klinefelter syndrome
     • cystic fibrosis
     • azoospermia, or absence of motile sperm in semen
     • cryptorchidism, or undescended testis
     • varicocele
     • testicular cancer
     • orchitis, painful infection of the testes from any cause (e.g. mumps, gonorrhea, chlamydia)
     • sickle cell disease
     • chronic kidney disease or kidney failure
     • HIV
  2. Diagnosis of any of the following within the past 90 days:
     • urethritis, or uncomfortable infection in the urethra, from any cause (e.g. chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital mycoplasma infection, or trichomonas)
     • active syphilis
     • active HPV infection (genital warts)
     • active genital herpes infection
  3. Current use of the any of the following medications and/or others (if notified by prescribing physician of fertility side-effect) known to transiently affect fertility:
     • spironolactone
     • ketoconazole
     • cimetidine
     • methotrexate
     • vinblastine
     • bleomycin
     • etoposide
  4. Treatment with either of the following (e.g. as part of cancer treatment regimen):
     • pelvic radiation
     • chemotherapy with agent(s) known have lasting effects on fertility
  5. Prior vasectomy
  6. Use of any of the following, prescribed or otherwise, within the past 90 days:
     • Anabolic steroids
     • Growth hormone
     • Protein or creatine supplements
     • Glucosamine
     • Testosterone
     • Estrogen
     • Hormone blockers
