Prodromal and Early Parkinsonism Alpha-Synuclein Study

Brief description of study

The purpose of this research study is to collect samples of blood, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF, the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord), skin, oral surfaces or fluids for testing of new ways to detect abnormal alpha-synuclein, a major protein involved in diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, in order to improve early diagnosis of alpha-synuclein abnormality in people with Parkinson’s disease or people at risk for Parkinson’s disease.
