Conquering Neuroinflammation and Epilepsies Consortium

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is learn more about the natural history and disease course of patients affected by neuroinflammatory conditions, including autoimmune encephalitis and Rasmussen encephalitis. Patients enrolled will be followed over time by our study team to record various information regarding their treatment, symptoms, and presence or lack of relapses. Additionally, we will analyze patient electroencephalograms, brain imaging studies, and collect blood, spinal fluid, tissue, and other biospecimens when available, for future biomarker, immunophenotyping, and genetic analyses. We hope this information will allow us to identify early warning signs of these diseases and potentially aide us in determining which treatments are most effective for which patient.
