A Multicenter Prospective Study of Infant Racial/Ethnic Identity and Parent Satisfaction in the NICU
Brief description of study
This is a prospective cohort study using a questionnaire with the primary aim of determining whether infant race/ethnicity is accurately designated in the electronic medical record (EMR) for patients who are admitted to the NICU. Secondarily we will look at whether parents within a parental dyad are concordant in their responses on racial identity of their child. Finally, we will use a questionnaire adapted from the EMPATHIC questionnaire to determine if parental satisfaction differs by racial/ethnic group.
