Validation of Wheelchair Propulsion Characteristics: A Pilot Observational Study

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Manual Wheelchair User
Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 65 Year(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Using a manual wheelchair as their primary (>10 hours every day) means of movement.
2. Be able to self-propel their wheelchair.
3. Have no upper extremity pain at the time of study participation.
4. Have no existing conditions that prevent them to complete study procedures.
5. Able to understand and follow study instructions.

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Have active pelvic or thigh wounds at the time of study participation.
2. Unable to sit continuously on the wheelchair for greater than 4 hours.
3. Is not comfortable self-propelling wheelchair for about a mile.
4. Self-reports being pregnant at the time of study participation.
