You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Knee Osteoarthritis (oa)

Age: Between 40 Year(s) - 75 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Knee osteoarthritis (OA) patients.
- Male and female in the age range of 40-75 years who have frequent knee pain on most days of the month for the last one year.
- Healthy control cohorts will have no knee pain or radiographic evidence of OA according to ACR criteria (K-L = 0 both knees, no osteophytes, no pain) and no abnormal findings on clinical MR protocol (no meniscal tear, no ligament tear).
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Subjects with any joint disease (example: Rheumatoid or inflammatory arthritis) other than knee OA.
- Subjects that had corticosteroid injections within the previous 3 months, and history of avascular necrosis, Paget’s disease of bone, Wilson’s disease, gout, total knee replacement, pregnancy, major co-morbidities such as diabetes, cancer, congestive heart failure, and chronic infectious diseases.
- Prior knee surgery or trauma.
- Contraindications to 3T whole-body MRI scanners (e.g., pacemaker, cerebral aneurysm clip, cochlear implant, presence of shrapnel in strategic locations, metal in the eye, claustrophobia or other problems).
- Alignment interventions such as insoles and knee braces.
