You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Schizoaffective DisordersPsychotic Spectrum Disorders

Age: Between 16 Year(s) - 35 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
Patients:- Current diagnosis of Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorders
- ages 16 to 35 years old
- any race/ethnicity
- competent and willing to sign informed consent
- within 5 years from the disease onset
- any race/ ethnicity
- no current or past history of psychotropic medication usage
- no current or past history of any psychiatric or neurological disorders
- no prodromal symptoms and no family history of Psychotic Spectrum Disorders in first-order relatives
- competent and willing to sign informed consent
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:
-
- a serious neurological or endocrine disorder or any medical condition or treatment known to affect the brain
- organic brain disorder, mental retardation, or significant medical illness
- significant risk of suicidal or homicidal behavior
- current alcohol or drug dependence in the last 6 months
- contraindications to MRI scanning (i.e., metal implants, pacemakers, pregnancy, etc.)
- documented loss of consciousness (LOC) for longer than 30 minutes or LOC with any neurological sequelae
