Novelty and Early Assessment of Temperament (NEAT) Study

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions:
Behavioral Inhibition
Age: Between 3 Month(s) - 5 Month(s)
Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
1. Legal guardians providing consent for participants must be 18 years or older and be able to communicate in and understand English. Legal guardians of infants will be considered participants in this study.
2. Provision of signed and dated informed consent form
3. Between 3–5 months of age
4. Born full-term (at least 37 weeks)
5. Hear English in the home at least 50% of the time

You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

1. Born at less than 37 weeks gestation
2. Low birth weight (<2,500 g)
3. A birth with severe pregnancy or delivery complications
4. First degree relative with autism, intellectual disability, schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, developmental delay
5. Contraindication to MRI
