Basis of sex-specific therapeutic responses to obstructive sleep apnea: Oxidative stress inflammation and vascular function

Brief description of study

We will address the study aims using a single sample of middle-aged and older women and men (55–75 years). This is a descriptive evaluation of sex differences in changes in overnight measures of oxidative stress, inflammatory biomarkers, and endothelial dysfunction, from baseline (Visit 1) to week 12 of autotitrating positive airway pressure (APAP) therapy for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) (Visit 2). Because APAP therapy is standard of care, it is not considered an intervention herein.
