You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: Cigarette SmokingSerious Mental Illness

Age: Between 21 Year(s) - 75 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Currently smokes 5 or more cigarettes per day.
- Has severe mental illness (SMI) diagnosis (including Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, Major depression, and Post traumatic stress disorder).
- Interested in reducing combustible cigarette smoking but not necessarily trying to quit.
- Own a mobile phone or have regular access to a mobile phone.
- Able to provide an additional contact to improve follow-up rates.
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Does not speak English or Spanish.
- Is Pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Not able to provide consent.
- Used tobacco other than combustible cigarettes in the past 2 weeks (e.g., EC, cigarillo).
- Currently engaged in an attempt to quit combustible cigarettes.
- Currently on Bupropion (e.g. Wellbutrin, Zyban).
- Reports having severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma (i.e., with exacerbation requiring hospitalization or intubation in the prior 6 months).
- Change in dose of their psychotropic medication(s) in the last 14 days.
- Meeting DSM-IV criteria for illicit/alcohol drug dependency.
- Past month suicidal ideation/suicide attempt and/or psychiatric hospitalization in the last 30 days.
- Currently incarcerated.
