The effects of Gender-Affirming Hormone Therapy (GAHT) on blood pressure of transgender adolescents as measured by ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) over the first year of therapy

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

Conditions: HypertensionGender Identity Disorder

Age: Between 14 Year(s) - 23 Year(s)

Gender: Male or Female

Other Inclusion Criteria:
- Between the ages of 14-23 years old
- Patients with plans to receive gender-affirming hormonal therapy (either exogenous testosterone or estrogen)
- Behaviorally able to wear a 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitor
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:

- Initiation of gender-affirming hormonal therapy (i.e. exogenous testosterone or estrogen) prior to recruitment
- Puberty-blockers as sole GAHT
- Pre-existing diagnosis of hypertension
