Are you eligible to participate in this study?
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
-
Conditions: Parkinson's Disease And Essential Tremor
-
Age: Between 18 Year(s) - 80 Year(s)
-
Gender: Male or Female
-

- Patients who are clinically selected to undergo unilateral or bilateral DBS surgery targeting the subthalamic nucleus (STN) for refractory PD.
- Patients who are clinically selected to undergo HIFU surgery targeting the ventral intermediate thalamus (ViM) for essential tremor (ET).
- Patients will be considered if they are undergoing a unilateral or a bilateral HIFU surgery.
You may not be eligible for this study if the following are true:
-
- No other symptomatic brain pathologies in pre-operative MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).
